Place
Shanghai
Year
2017
Scope
Designed and built: 3 bird statues on the canopy edge, giant dandelion "mushroom" statue, crystal tree. Canopy/architecture by others.

Sculptures and installations for the Powerlong shopping complex (Baolong Plaza) in Shanghai, which had just been built. The owner asked Milan for a few eye-catching points of interest outdoors, to draw people to the entrances and along the walkways between the different parts of the complex.

Three were built: three birds on the edge of the glass canopy, a crystal tree, and the Dandelion statue in stainless steel. Other ideas from the same commission stayed concepts, and two of them were later built at the Mangrove Tree Hotel in Hainan.
