Peeling

This painting brings attention to how one romanticizes the aspects of their lives, though in its embellishment it brings greater meaning to an otherwise mundane reality. To perceive is to hold a perspective, its nature demanding interpretation at every opportunity. Pursuit of pure perception, without a shred of rose-tinted embellishment is often a fruitless endeavor. Better yet, why rob the color of the world to expose the mundane beneath? It is in the very romance we splash upon reality that brings meaning to every corner of life.
