This painting depicts a great height relative to the self, offering quiet praise to how far one may have come. To glance back for but a moment, not in regret but in reflection. To see how far one has come and what heights have been achieved. Growth is ever so gradual, slight enough that only in retrospect can one tell the substantial shift. Peering back need not be in nostalgia, but a quiet triumph when inspiration is sought for.
